Theblue-throatedmacaw, also known as the Canindemacawor Wagler'smacaw, is amacawendemic to a small area of north-central Bolivia, known as Los Llanos de Moxos. In 2014 this species was designated by law as a natural patrimony of Bolivia.

TheBlue-throatedMacawis alargeparrot (85 centimetres). Plumage on its upper parts and long tail is turquoise. Its under parts are bright yellow. It has blue cheeks and throat patch (males have a darkerbluethroatpatch), yellow eyes and a dark bill, surrounded by a bare patch of skin.
